KEYNOTE: “What’s Up with Minnesota Families” ~ Katy Smith We’ll look at trends affecting the work we do with families in Minnesota. It’s important for our profession to look at trends in the parenting culture, the family culture, and the community cultures where children live and learn. Trends can influence our work in positive and not so positive ways. Knowing what is just around the bend can prepare us to advocate for children & support their parents & providers as we navigate an ever changing landscape of community.
What do you get if you combine research-based content with best practices in instructional delivery, then add some humor and package it all in a person with a warm and friendly personality who has a wide background in education and personal experiences?
