KEYNOTE: “What’s Up with Minnesota Families” ~ Katy Smith          
We’ll look at trends affecting the work we do with families in Minnesota. It’s important for our profession to look at trends in the parenting culture, the family culture, and the community cultures where children live and learn. Trends can influence our work in positive and not so positive ways. Knowing what is just around the bend can prepare us to advocate for children & support their parents & providers as we navigate an ever changing landscape of community.

 What do you get if you combine research-based content with best practices in instructional delivery, then add some humor and package it all in a person with a warm and friendly personality who has a wide background in education and personal experiences? REGISTRATION INCLUDES: breakfast, lunch, 6 hours of training, shopping, and raffle.

CANCELLATIONS: No refunds will be given.  If you can't attend, someone else may come in your place, but we must be notified in advance.

PARKING: Allow time for parking; look for signs! Training begins promptly at 7:45 a.m.

CELL PHONES: We ask that all cell phones be turned off or set to "vibrate" during classes.

CHILD POLICY:  Children can be a distraction to yourself and other participants, so please make other arrangements for your young children.
